Night Tears
There is a crying that happens at night
that does not comewhile the light is with us.
There are things that cannot be evadedonce the sun goes down.
Small nocturnal creatures with sharp white teeth
silently gnaw at the edges of
belly and heart when the darkness descend
sand the void insidegrows larger.
It can split you open.
And the bone in the centre of your chest
aches like the cracked wishing bonefrom the turkey breast.
And if we are strong enough to be weak enough
we are given a wound that never heals.
It is the gift that keeps the heart open.

No more bottled Water for me
Just hold back and think for a minute, where does Coca Cola,Suez,Veolia,Nestle,Betchel..... and all those other numerous companies ,who sell bottled water, get their water from.If ony 3% of the world water is fresh so how much are those companies taking out of the little that we have, how do they make sure the ecosystem is balancing back.Is this not just for busines what about the future generations, will there be a drop of water left for their consumption.and most of these companies are the ones who come with all these privatisation contracts to governments so that we buy our water from them.Hands up to the Bolivians who resisted privatisation of water and fought for their right to water. And such heroes like Hugo will forever be remembered for dead is the dreamer but his dream lived to materialise.
From that moment onwards ,i told Alicia Bello(a friend from Spellman College) that, i wont buy any bottled water from today, for i feel i will be encouraging some capitalists who are not considering the lives of the millions of people which is at stake because of the world water crisis. They extract water from the underground reserves but how do they return it back??????

World Water wars
When i got on a bus to Rosebank Mall i was telling the inner me that we just need the break from books lets just go out Annah for a movie. But by the time i was done that same inner me had questions for me like; after all u have learnt Annah what are u going to do about it.
My first step was sharing this information with someone on my blog.Watching the World Water Wars was an eye opener, did u ever imagine a World War 3 which is going to be over water and mostly over the control of Paraguay. The global water crisis is so intense that all of us have to participate in stopping the privatisation of water in many countries.I was really touched when a clip was shown on two South African young girls who were burnt to death in their house all because the neighbours had no extra water to put out the fire, where is the world going to,is it all about money or life.If u really do not understand what CAPITALISM is all about and the dead end to which it is taking this world to,then i suggest you watch the movie Blue Gold: World Water Wars.
